What Happens After Brexit?

Posted by Bob on Aug 11, 2016 11:02:28 AM

Many of our partners have talked to us about the possible effects of Brexit.

The day after the vote, which I have to say we all expected to be ‘Remain', there was certainly an air of fear pervading the country.

This lasted about a week, and then we all got on with it. And apart from the pound weakening (strengthening tourism and exports) not a great deal has changed.

There have been some worrying forecasts, but again, not much has happened – yet.

So here are our predictions of what will, or may happen over the next 2 years.

Everyday Leadership Tips, Part 5 - Tomorrow

As a leader you motivate people to do their best in the present so that the future is better.

You, more than anyone, must keep the future in mind and be prepared to change and shape the vision due to what changes and challenges hit you.

Your operationally minded managers must coach their team members to not allow the past to affect present performance, or your future results are likely to be affected.

Long live follow up!!

Well where to start with this one…

Have you worked in sales?

Have you ever tried to earn commission through selling products or services?

You have, then read on, this maybe of interest to you…

Ok, you know how it works, you speak to a potential client, you take their details, they show interest and then decide to think about it.

A short while after your boss is on your back to “follow up” on the client and “close” down the sale, right?

Well, that’s how it used to work!

Advice for Aspiring Apprentices

Posted by Robbie Tosh on Jul 14, 2016 1:29:32 PM

After studying at university for 2 months, I was confident in my realisation that this wasn’t for me. Even though I loved the subject, the tutoring was dull and uninspiring, and the city that I was living in was a dystopia that I couldn’t imagine myself living in for 3 years.

I found myself in a similar situation as the British population did before the Brexit vote, choose to stay at university and feel secure but ultimately it might not be best for me, or leave and face a mass of uncertainty. However, I decided to take the plunge and leave university.
